Welcome to Leah Land!
DECEMBER ISSUE |
|
Hi,
So this past month was full of film festivals, travel, and magical creatures. I met Al Gore at a Current TV event and became further convinced that he is from another planet. Meanwhile, Allison Anders signed on as an Executive Producer of Unicorns, which I couldn't be more thrilled about. I also traveled around Asia quite a bit and can safely say that Singapore is one of the most boring places I have ever been, but Thailand was absolutely amazing - like Blade Runner, but better! I will be at a couple of local screenings this month and hope to see some of my fellow New Yorkers there. Also, it is my birthday on the 4th so please stop by and wish me a happy one!
xoxo, Leah

Unicorns
|
|
A Sundance Lab finalist, Even Unicorns Need to Breathe is a brutally honest portrayal of teen dating violence, offset by humor that is as touching as it is dark.
- Allison Anders has signed on as an Executive Producer, which is especially exciting since her films Gas, Food, Lodging and Things Behind the Sun were of particular inspiration to this project.
- The Unicorns screenplay was also selected as a finalist in the Queens International Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
